BOARD MEMBERS EMERITUS

Entitled to one combined vote at Board meeting. 

Theresa Cole is the grandmother of a child diagnosed with autism and a retired educator. Mrs. Cole has assisted the Institute with scheduling several presentations for the Akwesasne Mohawk Tribe community.

Tom O’Bryan has been a member of a local and a regional board of education and is past president of the Institute for Learning Centered Education.

Michelle Rogers is a retired educator who supports a young woman with autism. She finds pleasure in helping the individual develop her sewing skills.

MEMBERS OF DISTINCTION

Frank Pickus, Retired Assistant superintendent, Gloversville, New York. Frank facilitated Institute conferences for nearly 20 years and was a teacher of special education before becoming an administrator.

Paul Vermette was a unique and outstanding professor at Niagara University in New York. He was in great demand as a staff developer teaching and modeling practices based on constructivist theory of how people learn. Paul supported the mission of the Institute.
